What can be filed, and what cannot
This archive is for laying out theories about public events with dated sources. It is not a place to target people. These rules are checked automatically when you file, and readers can report anything that slips through.
1. Every timeline is a claim
Every timeline is shown as a member’s claims, not established fact. You must not present your timeline as proven by this site, and the site never will.
2. Every event needs a date and a source
Each event has a date (a year, a month or a day), one link to its source, and a stamp you choose honestly:
- DOCUMENTED the source itself records that this happened: an official record, a court filing, a dated news report.
- CLAIMED the source is somebody’s assertion that it happened: a book, a video, a post, an interview.
Link shorteners and links to bare IP addresses are refused. Mark a source Documented only if it really records the event; “the source does not say this” is a report reason.
3. Public figures and public bodies only
You may name people in public roles (officials, candidates, executives acting for their company, public agencies, companies) for what they did in those roles. You may not name or point at private individuals. Never post anyone’s home address, phone number, email address, licence plate, social-media handle or family members. Name a building or institution instead of a street address.
4. No threats or incitement
Nothing that threatens, wishes or calls for violence or harm against anyone, and nothing that tells people to go to someone’s home or workplace.
5. No hate
No slurs and no attacks on people for their race, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or national origin.
6. No medical instructions
You may record what happened in medicine and public health. You may not tell anyone to take a dose of anything, to stop or refuse treatment, or to use a “cure” instead of medical care.
7. How it is enforced
- When you file, the text is checked against these rules. If it breaks one, nothing is saved and you are told which rule.
- Every timeline and event has a Report button. When readers on 3 different networks report the same item, it is hidden at once until the site owner reviews it. Each member counts once, and several accounts on one network count as one.
- A legal or takedown notice that names an item hides it at once until it is reviewed.
- Members who break the rules are banned; their timelines disappear from the archive.
- Posting is limited per member: 3 new timelines, 40 events and 60 edits a day.
These automatic checks catch common patterns, not every possible breach. Reports and notices catch the rest.
